Christians Vote?

In response to a post asking, “Should Christians vote?”

Much more than vote. Our founders created a Biblically grounded, self-governing, relational republic that demands participation. After the decline in Puritanism in New England, many went apostate. These replaced a Christ-centered faith with a political one. The problem is that evangelicals reacted with an eccentricity toward public withdrawal and private faith only. That movement became mainstream. We need to restore the both/and balance of true dependence on Christ alone, AND seeking first His kingdom through salt and light action in the community at every level. Or we will lose the Republic.
