A big problem with fiat state schools is that mandatory attendance laws–now universal–destroy the rightful and necessary covenantal relationship between parent, child, and teacher. In the state system we rather force a teacher to take a student, force a student and parent to take a teacher. Privatizing with support by the body of Christ to those unable to pay is the solution.
