Regulation is about as unAmerican as it gets. Regulatory law lacks due process. One is guilty until proven innocent. D’ Tocqueville predicted America’s liberty would end at the hand of bureaucrats.
Current lawmakers simply create new and expanded bureaucratic power and then hand it over to the insulated and self-interested.
This is not only a problem at the national level. America’s social needs once ran on widespread Christian volunteerism via tithing agencies. Yielding our responsibility has not improved our lot.
