From dear and longtime friend Godfrey Kyazze in Uganda. The Kyazze’s work, growing out of the New Hope Uganda ministry to children, has reached and continues to serve hundreds in Uganda with a unique and effective, nation-changing, Ugandan version of early America’s Biblical Christian education vision and reality with its character-development, wisdom, liberty, justice, purpose, relational government and economic investment by faith. Pretty much founding a previously non-existent home school movement, Godfrey has reached the upper echelons of the churches, higher education, and government.U.S. residents can support Godfrey through https://ReforNations.org/donate/.
Subject: An Urgent Update: Shaping a Nation’s Future in Uganda
Dear Friends and Partners in Christ,
Greetings from Uganda! We are writing to you today with hearts full of both excitement for what God is doing and a pressing sense of urgency for the path ahead.
For years, we have been faithfully working to provide Christ-centered educational resources for the children and educators of this nation. By God’s grace, we have seen tremendous progress. After successfully developing and completing the entire Primary School Curriculum, we have now reached another major milestone: the bulk of the textbooks for Uganda’s new Lower Secondary Curriculum are complete and ready for publication!
This is a monumental step toward providing thousands of students with high-quality, biblically-integrated learning materials that will shape their minds and hearts for generations.
Alongside this curriculum development, we are actively supporting the growing home school movement here. We are helping communities form co-ops for fellowship and encouragement and are sharing an online curriculum to equip families who have chosen this path for their children’s education.
Looking to the future, we have also developed a Master’s Program in the Principle Approach to Christian Education. This program is designed to equip a new generation of Ugandan educators to lead with a biblical worldview. We have officially submitted it to the National Council for Higher Education for approval and plan to offer it through a local Reformed Seminary. Please join us in praying that this program receives a swift and favorable approval.
Our Challenge and Urgent Need
While the fruit of this ministry is clear and the vision is expanding, we must be transparent with you about the significant personal challenges we are facing. We have been working diligently on these projects without receiving any funding or salaries for a long time. The financial strain has become immense, and honestly, our family is finding it very difficult to survive.
We have poured our hearts, souls, and resources into this work, but we have reached a point where we cannot continue without the partnership of our brothers and sisters in Christ. The textbooks are written, but they sit waiting for the funds to be published. The vision for training teachers is ready, but our ability to sustain this ministry is at a critical juncture.
How You Can Help
We are humbly asking for your immediate financial support. Your gift today will do two things:
- Provide for our family’s basic needs, allowing us to continue this vital work without the constant pressure of survival.
- Help us move toward publishing the Secondary School textbooks, getting them out of our hands and into the hands of students and teachers.
Would you prayerfully consider making a special gift to sustain our family and this ministry? Whether it is a one-time donation or a commitment to monthly support, your partnership will be a lifeline for us and a direct investment in the future of Christian education in Uganda.
Thank you for standing with us through your prayers and encouragement. We trust that God, who has brought this work so far, will provide for its completion through His faithful people.
In His Service,
Godfrey and Olga Kyazze
